Privacy zones
Privacy zones cut nearby points out of everything others see — the usual pick is a few hundred meters around home. Center the map on the spot before adding a zone.
Active share links
Anyone with one of these links can view the item, with your privacy zones cut out. Revoke what you no longer want out there.
Notifications
Choose what shows under the bell, here and in the app, and what the Waymark app on your phone notifies you of. Android also asks once whether Waymark may notify you.
What your feed shows
The same switches as on the Feed page. They are kept on the server, so the app shows the same feed.
Strava
Connect your Strava account via OAuth. Your Garmin activities will sync automatically to Strava if you have that set up in Garmin Connect.
You need a free Strava API application. Create one at strava.com/settings/api and add STRAVA_CLIENT_ID and STRAVA_CLIENT_SECRET to your .env file.
Garmin
Waymark reads your activities straight from Garmin Connect with a personal API key. Create one at Garmin Connect › Personal API key, copy it (Garmin shows it only once) and paste it here. Waymark stores it encrypted and never shows it again.
Garmin activities are visible only to you for now. An activity you already have — from Strava or recorded in the app — is linked, not stored twice.
API tokens
Tokens give apps and AI clients access to your Waymark data without your password. A token is shown only once, right after you create it. Revoke anything you no longer use.
